Several fire crews were called to serious collision involving two cars along the M4 on Sunday morning (October 15).

The crash happened on the M4 between junction 4 for the A408 (Heathrow Spur and Uxbridge) and junction 4A for the A4 Heathrow Spur Road at around 9.15am.

Highways England closed three lanes while firefighters from London Fire Brigade and emergency services attended the scene.

All lanes reopened at 10.21am.

The accident came just minutes after Highways England and London Fire Brigade dealt with a car fire on the westbound M4 between junction 2 and junction 3.
