It is almost time to jump back into the car and join the early morning commute to work, but before you do, take a few minutes to check your route.

There will be roadworks and road closures in west London next week and here are some of the planned works which could affect your travel.

Hounslow

The A4 in Cranford will remain closed until Tuesday, March 28 due to gas leak repairs.

The leak was reported by Transport for London (TfL) on Wednesday (March 22) after the A4 Bath Road was closed.

National Grid has apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused while work is carried out.

Drivers are being advised to take the A312 to the M4 Heathrow Spur junction for Heathrow Airport.

Also in Hounslow, the B455 Ealing Road will be closed in both directions at the junction of the A4 Great West Road, until March 27.

Lanes one and two on the A4 remain closed eastbound, to facilitate repairs to a gas leak.

Chiswick

Electrical installation works continue this week in Chiswick.

Both directions of the M4 carriageway including Heston Services and junction 2, will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday, March 27, between 10pm and 5.30am.

Motorists will be diverted via the A4 and the A312.

Also in Chiswick, TfL continue to warn of possible delays in both directions on the A406 Gunnersbury Avenue at the junction of Power Road in Chiswick .

It is due to the closure of Power Road for continuing bridge replacement works.

Works began in June 2016 and will be completed on Thursday January 4 2018.

Ealing

The B452 Northfield Avenue will be closed in both directions until April 29 between Uxbridge Road and Mattock Lane, to facilitate borough works.

Ruislip

The A4180 High Street will be closed southbound between Eastcote Road and Ickenham Road in Ruislip , to facilitate carriageway reconstruction works.

Works will continue until May 7.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place on Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate, until April 17 .

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.

Fulham

Parsons Green Lane will be closed northbound between New King's Road and Fulham Road whilst utility works are carried out.

TfL advise road users to take an alternative route.

Works are set to continue until April 30.

Kensington and Chelsea

TfL is warning of possible delays during peak times on the A3220 Warwick Road at the junction of Earl's Court Square.

Earl's Court Square opposite Kempsford Gardens is closed until April 7, to facilitate cycle grid works.

Also in Kensington, the A315 Kensington Road will be closed in both directions between Palace Gate and Exhibition Road.

The closure will be in place until March 30, to facilitate roadworks.

Knightsbridge

Work continues until April 2019 during the redevelopment of 55 to 91 Knightsbridge .

It is affecting the A4 in Knightsbridge in both directions between Wilton Place and William Street and the westbound bus lane is closed.
