The bank holiday weekend will soon be over and the post holiday blues will be creeping in, rush hour traffic jams are the last thing you need to be worrying about.

So, before you rush out of the house on Tuesday morning and into your car, check out some of the planned road closures and roadworks on the west London roads.

Hounslow

Work to improve safety by carrying out electrical installation starts next week in Hounslow .

The M4 junction 4 entry slip road eastbound, will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, for two nights from Thursday May 4.

Motorists will be diverted via junction 5 and return.

Chiswick

Electrical installation works continue this week in Chiswick .

Both directions of the M4 carriageway including Heston Services and junction 2, will be closed overnight for three nights from Tuesday, May 2, between midnight and 5.30am.

Motorists will be diverted via the A4 and the A312.

Heathrow Airport

Litter clearance starts this week, affecting the M25 at junction 14 for Heathrow Airport .

The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday May 2.

A diversion will be in place via the A3113, A3044 and A30 to junction 13 of the M25.

According to Highways England, the litter clearance is part of work to improve journeys.

Southall

Transport for London (TfL) is warning of possible delays in Southall due to roadworks.

Park Avenue is closed in both directions between Avenue Road and South Road until June 4.

Brentford

Delays are possible in both directions on the A4 Great West Road at the junction of Riverbank Way due to a lane closure.

It is to facilitate traffic light upgrade works from 10pm until 5am.

Temporary signals are in use during the day and works are expected to be complete by May 19.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place on Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate, until June 28.

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.

Knightsbridge

Work continues until April 2019 during the redevelopment of 55 to 91 Knightsbridge .

It is affecting the A4 in Knightsbridge in both directions between Wilton Place and William Street and the westbound bus lane is closed.
