Two lanes of the M25 are closed after a muliti-vehicle crash on the busy motorway.
A collision took place on the M25 clockwise, between Junction 16 (M40) and Junction 17 (A412 Maple Cross) on Friday (October 6) afternoon.
Lane three and four (of four) remain closed after traffic was held by highways officers, affecting routes between Uxbridge and Denham.
There is congestion to Junction 14 (A3113 Airport Way/Horton Road/Heathrow Terminal 4).

Traffic is now easing after the earlier collision
Traffic is easing on M25 clockwise at J16 M40, but is yet to fully recover from an earlier multi-vehicle accident which had the traffic held and several lane restrictions.

All lanes have been re-opened on the M25 after the collision, but travel time is still 30 to 35 minutes.
Traffic was held so highways officers could open the road safely after moving some of the vehicles to the hard shoulder.
Two people have been hospitalised after the crash
Two people are in hospital after the collision involving four vehicles.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said:
“We received a call at 12.02pm reporting a four-vehicle collision, clockwise between junction 16 and 17.
“We sent two rapid response cars and an ambulance to the scene.
“We treated two patients for head injuries, which are not thought to be serious or life threatening.
“They were taken to Watford General Hospital.”

There are delays and queueing traffic due to the earlier accident, where “several cars and a van” involved, it has been reported.
The incident took place on the M25 clockwise between J16 and J17.
Another collision just in
One lane of the M4 is also blocked and there is slow traffic due to collision between J4A A4 (Heathrow Spur Road) and J4 A408 (Heathrow Spur / Uxbridge).
Lane three (of three) remains blocked northbound by an accident.
