Network Rail has told passengers not to travel to or from London Waterloo for two days after a train derailed at 5.40am on Tuesday (August 15).
By 7am on Tuesday (August 15), SWT had already warned disruption in and out of the station would likely continue until close of service.
"Due to a signal failure and an operational incident, we currently advise to avoid travelling to or from London Waterloo," SWT tweeted shortly after 6.30am.
The latest bout of disruption comes amid a major £800m upgrade project at London Waterloo, which has already seen SWT slash its usual service to just the barebones.
