A beautiful wreath has been laid on Westminster Bridge from London Marathon runners in a touching tribute to the victims of the terror attack in Westminter .

The kind and thoughtful gesture was left in memory of the people who lost their lives including PC Keith Palmer during the horrifying attack on the capital last month.

The card reads: 'In loving memory - on behalf of all London Marathon runners'.

The 26.2 mile route passes Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament, where five people died and at least 50 people were injured on March 22.

It was spotted by Emily Ayers who works in Westminster on Monday (April 24), the day after thousands of people took to the streets in the name of charity.

"I didn't want to have a closer look, having dealt with a lot of personal loss recently I wasn't sure how it would affect me. I'm so glad I did.

"Life does carry on, people do keep taking photographs of the London sights on the bridge....but people also do remember.

"On Sunday I had seen runners pushing their bodies to the limit for charity and now another sign of kindness, care and unity. Very touching indeed."
