As the journey to reach home after a long day at work looms, we have put together some helpful tips and advice to beat the bus strikes.

The one-day strike, which affected bus services since 12.01am on Thursday (February 5) and ends at 11.59pm, is likely to have an ongoing impact on night buses in operation.

Extra staff have been deployed at key locations throughout the network to give passengers advice and help them get around the strikes more easily.

At 12.15pm, Transport for London (TfL) said 51% of buses were in operation, and on Thursday morning, the bus network carried around 45% of its normal number of passengers with many others choosing to walk or cycle short distances to work.

But as the evening rush hour approaches, getwestlondon has collated information from (TfL) to help keep Londoners moving during the disruptions.
