An epic new video promoting Brent's bid for London Borough of Culture takes viewers on a tour of the borough's rich cultural scene.
"This is Brent " is a short film that showcases the borough's best-loved landmarks to a spoken word soundtrack performed by young residents.
Brent poet Chris Beschi (Poet Curious) wrote the powerful poem that Jamie Akrah, Dinarte Pachecoi and Jessica Mensah deliver in the film.
A celebration of Brent's many sides, Wembley Stadium and Neasden Temple appear alongside an Irish pub, council flats and Bob Marley's former home.
Directed by London photographer Barry Edmonds, the film recognises Brent as a melting-pot with Irish, Asian and Afro-Caribbean communities among the many others that exist together in the borough.
Councillor Muhammed Butt, the leader of Brent Council, said: "This is a simply stunning video which not only reflects the spirit of our borough, it reflects the spirit of our bid for London Borough of Culture 2020, which is a spirit of youthfulness, internationalism and community.
"Our bid is fast gathering momentum and it's an opportunity for everyone in Brent to be part of something really special that would be great for the borough."
He added: "Take a look at the video, share it far and wide and back our bid. It's honest, heartfelt and thought-provoking."
