The makers of a new action movie have teamed up with a martial arts instructor in Hounslow to help film-goers keen to replicate the stunning skills on display.

Akira, starring Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, will hit cinemas across the UK, including Feltham Cineworld, on Friday (September 2).

The action thriller centres around a college girl Akira, played by Sinha, whose life spirals out of control when she becomes unwittingly entangled in a deadly crime.

The eponymous heroine is forced to employ the skills she learned in her self-defence classes as she battles murderous villains and the forces of corruption.

Fans of the film can attempt to follow in her high-kicking footsteps by taking advantage of free martial arts lessons across the country.

The Pro Mai martial arts academy in Feltham is offering two free trials to anyone presenting a ticket stub for Akira from a local cinema.

The film's producer Fox Star said: "We aim to entice the public to become real action heroes and possibly fall in love with a new hobby by learning some martial arts skills taught by reputable professionals in their own communities."
