A laptop, two briefcases and five bottles of alcohol were stolen in Brent whilst the victim was asleep in their home.

Police have launched an appeal for information following the incident in Mapesbury Road, Kilburn on February 7 shortly after 2pm.

Officers believe the intruder gained entry to the ground floor by lifting the sliding patio door off its track before leaving with the loot.

Metropolitan Police said the suspect is a black man who was wearing a distinctive camouflage baseball cap with the word “PARIS” written on it in white.

He also wore a black hooded jacket and camouflage-style trousers with a white handkerchief in his back pocket.

Detective Constable Lucy Conway from Brent CID said: “We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident.

"We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.”

Officers released an image of a man they would like to speak with in connection to the incident.

No arrests have been made.
