Music mega star Lady Gaga stunned shoppers at Westfield when she performed a surprise festive performance launch of the shopping centre’s program of Christmas events.

The Poker Face and Bad Romance singer took over the Shepherd’s Bush centre’s rooftop with a festive performance in a beautiful giant snow globe on Thursday (December 1) evening.

On a revolving stage, Lady Gaga sung an unplugged version of her new single Million Reasons, lifted from her new studio album, Joanne, as guests got up close to their heroine inside the specially constructed snow globe.

The lucky fans and shoppers watching had won the chance to attend the performance through a Facebook competition run by Westfield on Monday (November 28).

An additional 100 fans were also able to watch the performance via live-stream, in a Vue Cinema screen at the centre, and meet their heroine.

The exclusive three song set also included stripped-back versions of Bad Romance and Joanne, with the American singer showcasing her vocals with an acoustic piano.

A giant festive message to London from Lady Gaga was also projected on the centre’s rooftop to mark the event and celebrate the start of the holiday season.

Speaking afterwards, she said: “I love my London and UK fans so much, and performing my new music for them in such an intimate and spectacular location was the perfect way to celebrate the holidays.”

Westfield’s chief marketing officer, Myf Ryan added: “As such a prominent musician and style icon, constantly innovating and pushing boundaries, it was an absolute joy to welcome Lady Gaga to celebrate the holiday season with a lucky group of our customers in an extra-special way.”

“We’re dedicated to providing unique, memorable experiences and have a great line up of festive activities at our centres.”
