As umbrellas gather dust across west London, many are wondering whether April showers are now just a thing of the past .
Usually, around 45.2mm of rain falls during this notoriously wet month, but this month some areas have seen just 0.05mm.
The idyllic weather will continue to stump London gardeners, as only a few days of rain are now predicted in some west London towns.
In Uxbridge, rain is predicted on only one day, on April 26, but so far the town has only seen 1.8mm of rain water.
Ruislip’s weather has been equally as idyllic - its average temperature in April is usually 13° but this month has seen highs of 25°.
Hillingdon residents will want to keep their raincoats handy, however, as rain is predicted today (April 20) and on five other April days.
A mere 1.8mm of rain has fallen in Hillingdon so far this month, so gardeners will rejoice at the probability of rain on those days.
Westminster has only seen 1.3mm of April showers this month, a long way off the 45.2mm average - but two rainy days are predicted on April 26 and 28.
West London's April showers seem to have mostly dried up this year, but weather watchers can definitely expect a few showers still .
