A man is recovering in hospital after an intruder burst into his Uxbridge home and stabbed him.

The assailant barged into the property, in Long Lane, on Wednesday (March 11) at 7.40pm. One man was punched in the incident before another, a 55-year-old, was knifed.

The intruder then fled the property.

Police officers were called and gave the victim First Aid. He was taken to hospital where he is recovering.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, aged in his 40s, with short dark hair, about 5ft 10ins tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a green-coloured ‘parka’ type coat.
