The Good Ship in Kilburn High Road may have announced its closure, but it's set to host a special gig to raise money for Grenfell Tower fire survivors on Sunday (September 10.)

The event has been organised by students from the nearby Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) and will included performances from twelve student acts including Rough Draft, Mad Hiros and DJ Dan J Williams.

Shakila K, an ICMP student, will be performing and the gig was her idea.

She said: "Me and my family were once made homeless, so we thought of doing our bit to help the victims of Grenfell Tower Fire.

Shakila K helped organise the gig

"It made sense to me especially as I go to a college full of musicians, bands and artists."

The gig will take place at The Good Ship on Sunday September 10 at 6pm.

Tickets are £8 on the door.

Biruk Haftom, 12, was the latest Grenfell Fire victim to be identified on Wednesday (September 6) in agreement with the Coroner, Dr Fiona Wilcox, bringing the confirmed number of fatalities to 58.

Metropolitan Police said at least 80 people died following the tragedy on June 14.
