A teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of 15-year-old school boy Quamari Barnes in Kensal Green .

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of Quamari Barnes have arrested a 15-year-old boy at an address in South Norbury.

The arrest was made at 1.30pm on Tuesday (January 24) and the boy is in custody at a north London police station.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service just before 3.30pm on Monday (January 23) to reports of a stabbing in Doyle Gardens, Kensal Green .

Officers found a boy suffering from stab injuries and he was taken to a central London hospital where he died.

Next of kin have been informed but formal identification has not taken place.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses who may have seen anything or have information on what happened after the attack.
