A four-floor mecca to gin is to be built in North Kensington .

Portobello Road Gin will construct The Distillery in Notting Hill’s Portobello Road.

It will include a gin museum, blending rooms, Spanish-style Gintonic bar and restaurant, traditional bar, specialist gin shop, boutique guest rooms, and of course, a distillery.

The company, which was only founded five years ago, says the multi-million project will it will provide a haven for gin buffs and aficionados .

It will be the new home of The Ginstitute, the hugely successful gin experience currently based above the Portobello Star pub, also in Portobello Road.

From the new premises it will produce its own craft gin and also host more gin masterclass-based activities.

"Our roots have played an important factor in the success of the brand and it’s incredibly exciting to be able to grow and continue producing in Notting Hill .

“The Distillery will prove to be a mecca for all fans of the drink and will, we believe, become the finest address in gin.”

It is due to open in November.
