Passengers have been urged to avoid the Jubilee Line today (January 23).

Transport for London (TfL) said there are severe delays on the line due to a shortage of trains.

TfL added that tickets will be accepted on local buses, Southeastern, Thameslink and the DLR.

On social media, TfL said that passengers should avoid using the line if possible.

In a Tweet it said: "Severe delays due to a shortage of trains, please avoid using the line if at all possible, your tickets will be accepted on other services."

It is also not known when the issue will be resolved, TfL added.

People took to social media to express their frustration at the delays, with @astrotomato tweeting: "Jubilee Line - very few trains. Platforms are rammed."

And @StefBradders tweeted: "Catching a flight this morning, to avoid delays how am I supposed to get to Ldn City from West Harrow?"
