Over the past year selfies have taken off on social media to help raise awareness and funds for charities, and this festive season the NSPCC is following that trend.

The children's charity has launched Bobble Hat Day and staff from the West London Service Centre in Swan Road, Hanworth, are calling on people in the community to join celebrities including singer Peter Andre and TV presenters Dick and Dom to wear their favourite Christmas hat and post a photo of themselves on Facebook and Twitter.

Schools, offices and community groups in west London are being urged to sign up to take part in the first ever Bobble Hat Day festive fundraiser in support of the ChildLine Service to be held on Wednesday, December 10.

ChildLine is a free counselling service for children and young people who need someone to talk to for help or advice on a range of issues including bullying and cyber bullying, abuse and safety, eating problems and more.
