A Jewish couple strolling beside the Grand Union Canal were horrified to find anti-semitic graffiti sprayed against the wall in Ealing .

Their daughter, Liorah Tchiprout, posted the picture on social media to show "that antisemitism is still alive and well" after her parents discovered the vandalism.

The white spray, found on January 14, showed the Star of David being hanged by a hangman pole.

Liorah Tchiprout shared the image on social media to show people 'that antisemitism is still alive and well'

Ms Tchiprout wrote: "My lovely parents went for a walk yesterday afternoon by Grand Union Canal near their home in Ealing and saw this. Lovely.

"I'm making this public so it can be shared. Just in case people don't believe that antisemitism is still alive and well in the UK."

Facebook users responded with shock at the graffiti, with one west Londoner saying it was "disgusting".

Another added: "This is appalling. I'm so sorry."

It is not the first time anti-semitic images have appeared in the borough.

A similarly sprayed picture appeared on a billboard outside West Ealing train station in July 2016.

Similar graffiti appeared at West Ealing station on Friday July 1

It came after allegedly racist graffiti appeared outside the Polish Centre in Hammersmith, also in July.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told getwestlondon: "Hate crime should always be reported and the force will act appropriately to make sure incidents are investigated."
