Posting on our Facebook site under the story about how Uxbridge man Fraser Giles will only now serve six years for the attack, after two year sentence reduction at the Appeal Court today (Wednesday, June 4),

Melanie Kindley-Deeks wrote: “Not long enough”.

Danielle Inns replied: “Agree. Six years is an insult to the victim and his family.”

“I agree, that’s sick,” wrote Nabeela Qayyum, and Natalie A. Edwards said: ”Not much to like about this news item. Disgraceful.”

Nicola Rolleston posted: "Out of that 6 he'll probably only do 2. It was clearly a racist attack. "Good" people do not go around kicking defenceless old people in the head, whether they have been drinking or not. What a joke."

And Aimee Lowe said: "How utterly disrespectful to the elderly! It's brutal what he did & ultimately he's the coward.

Abby Connell asked the question: 'Good character'?, and Sonja Jones said: "No way long enough."

"He can't pick on anyone who'd give as good as they got but a vulnerable pensioner. Shame on him."
