A road rage incident resulted in a motorist being sprayed in the face with an "irritant", Hounslow Police has said.

The force has launched an appeal following the incident in Bath Road by Henley's roundabout on Wednesday August 2.

A spokesman for the police said at around 6.15am there was a "road rage incident" between the occupants of a silver Mercedes and a black Ford Galaxy.

"An occupant of the Galaxy got out of their vehicle and sprayed a substance believed to be a mild irritant into the face of the driver of the Mercedes," the spokesman said.

"The victim sustained very minor injuries as a result of this incident."

Anyone who was in the area and can assist police with the incident is asked to call Hounslow Police on 02082476219.
