An innocent man was investigated by police for crimes including rape, acid attacks and stabbings after his former partner launched an ‘intolerable’ campaign of harassment against him.

Jilted Sandra Danevska created 134 hoax crime reports causing a massive waste of police time and an unnecessary drain on its resources.

She also targeted two women her former boyfriend, who was known in court as Victim 1, subsequently dated.

But on June 29 at Isleworth Crown Court , the 38-year-old from Hammersmith was found guilty of three counts of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, and two counts of perverting the course of justice. She will be sentenced in August.

Danevska and Victim 1 had dated for a number of weeks 10 years ago and had another brief relationship in 2013 before he said he wanted to go back to simply being friends.

She set up bogus social media profiles and fake email addresses in her ex-boyfriend’s name to send threatening and malicious messages to other people, and used various mobiles to make numerous silent calls and send text messages to him.

In 2014, Danevska began sending Victim 1 almost daily emails from unknown accounts commenting on things he had done during the day, leading him to fear he was being followed.

As a result of her online crime reports police attended Victim 1’s address on 42 occasions, and his place of work 10 times.

New girlfriends also targeted

Victim 2, now aged 34, went out with Danevska’s former boyfriend in 2010 and also became the target of her campaign, receiving numerous threatening and malicious text messages and emails.

Danevska set up several social media accounts and email addresses in her name. Again, these email addresses were used to send threatening messages to other people.

Victim 3 had also dated Victim 1 between October 2012 and October 2013. Police attended her address a number of times responding to reports of crime, supposedly created by her.

She also received numerous malicious messages from Danevska via various social media accounts. Some commented on her movements during the day.

Police started investigating the harassment back in 2011 but the defendant had sufficiently covered her tracks.

'Huge drain on police resources'

However, they made their breakthrough in 2015 when a series of bogus social media profiles were traced to various addresses, which emerged were homes employing Danevska as a nanny.

Police obtained a warrant to search her home in Winslow Road in May 2015. They seized SIM cards, computer equipment and a diary in which she had noted the movements of Victim 1.

Danevska was charged with the offences in September 2015.

Detective Constable Dean Puzey, of Hammersmith and Fulham CID, said the victim’s had suffered “unimaginable distress” which rendered their “intolerable”.

“Her ex-boyfriend, an entirely innocent man, found himself a suspect for rape, stabbings and acid attacks - the impact on his life in particular was horrendous.

“Her actions also caused a massive waste of police time. Throughout Danevska’s campaign, 17 of London’s 32 boroughs responded to bogus reports of crime as a result of her malicious calls; her vendetta was a huge drain on police resources.”

Danevska will be sentenced on August 26.
