A car flipped on its side and another hit a lamppost following a collision in Hounslow .
One person received minor injuries and did not require further treatment in hospital.
Police in Hounslow attended to the incident in Vicarage Farm Road at the junction with Crossways, on Monday (September 11) afternoon.
The image posted by local officers several hours after the incident shows a black Audi on its side.
A blue Ford had crashed into a signed lamppost, leaning over the road, just metres in front of a bus en route to Southall Town Hall.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called shortly before 3pm on Monday, 11 September to reports of a collision involving two vehicles in Vicarage Farm Road in Hounslow.
"Officers attended. One person sustained minor injuries, they did not require hospital treatment."
The road was temporarily closed and reopened to traffic at 4:21pm, police said.
A message on the police Twitter account read: "Response Team B are dealing with this Road Traffic Incident."
The driver of the black Audi was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
