A post-mortem examination on the body of a man found dead in Hyde Park in the early hours of Friday morning (August 12) will take place at Westminster Mortuary on Saturday (August 13), police have revealed.
The identity of the man is still unknown and his next of kin have not been informed, but police say enquiries are ongoing.
Police cordons were put in place after the man was found dead by police officers at around 5.50am near the mosaic commemorating The Reformers' Tree.
Emergency services were called after a member of the public found a man suffering from injuries in the park .
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating the death, which is described as 'suspicious', but no arrests have been made.
Anyone with any information or who witnesses anything suspicious is asked to call the Metropolitan Police on 101.
