A new video has been posted online showing a fly-through animation of the proposed Phase One route of HS2.

The animation, a bird's eye view of the route between Birmingham Curzon Street and London Euston, was developed by HS2 Ltd using the project’s engineering and environmental data.

It shows the route the high speed trains will take - including the stretch which runs through parts of west London - and how it will cut through the landscape and densely-populated residential areas.

To see the section of HS2 from South Ruislip to Ickenham, forward to 12.25 in the video. To see the Northolt Corridor, go to 13.40. And to see the stretch from Kilburn (Brent) to Old Oak Common, forward to 13.05.

Commenting on the video, posted on Youtube by HS2 Ltd, Luck Of The Devil wrote: "I used to support the Conservatives, this disaster in waiting will cost the country dearly.

"Our 'government' has employed a laughable team of people - railtrack failures, now joined by Adonis to destroy our countryside at any cost to the taxpayer.

"Shame on them!"

While Sten wrote, "The tears of the worthless nimbys are so sweet! Can't wait for my new trains!"
