A new documentary series about council housing in Hounslow will begin on Channel 4 on Tuesday (May 10).

The fourth series of How to Get a Council House goes behind the scenes with council housing officers and tenants, as getwestlondon revealed back in March.

The first episode, due to air at 9pm, follows the story of Beverley who has fallen behind with her rent and faces eviction along with her 21-year-old son Zane, who has epilepsy.

Viewers will also get to meet Shane, who is living at his mother's with his three children and wants a home of his own.

Previous series of the show have been filmed in Manchester, Portsmouth and Tower Hamlets.

getwestlondon recently reported how Hounslow Council plans to spend £53.5m on new homes in a bid to ease the borough's growing homelessness crisis.

The waiting list for a council home in the borough now stands at over 10,000 and there are more than 1,000 households in temporary accommodation.

Hounslow recently appeared on the box in a very different fashion, with scenes from the ITV period drama Doctor Thorne filmed at Osterley Park.
