A couple from Hounslow are desperately appealing for help in funding their final IVF treatment and their last chance to have a baby.

Hairdresser Serena Brown, and her partner Lee, need your generous donations to raise £3,600 for a third and final cycle of IVF, before she undergoes a hysterectomy which will make their dreams of starting a family together impossible.

Friends of the 29-year-old have set up a GoFundMe page so she has a fighting chance to have the child she longs for.

Miss Brown said: “I have been trying to conceive for years, without the help of the NHS due to the ‘postcode lottery’, and I feel like this is my last chance.

“Due to high demand the prices of IVF are sky rocketing and for me, setting up a GoFundMe page to help fund treatment is a necessity.

“I have always believed I would be a mother, which is why I need IVF now.

“Another course of IVF would cost myself and Lee £8,600- it’s just way out of reach.

“Even with both myself and my partner working full time, this is a sum which we cannot reach without support, especially given the short period of time in which I have to try for a child.”

The couple are running out of time to conceive and need money towards the cost of medication which includes paying for two injections a day for 12 weeks at a cost of £20 a go.

They will come up with the remaining £5,000 to make up the total needed for the treatment.

Five years ago after having a cervical smear test Miss Brown received the devastating news she had severe precancerous cells which were likely to become cancerous in the coming years, and meant a hysterectomy would be a necessary in the future.

To date, Miss Brown has already had two cycles of IVF which were unsuccessful and cost £11,000, but she is still determined to be a mum.

Serena has set up a Facebook page 'the IVF HUB the real deal' to update people on her journey.
