Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed during a fight in Hounslow .

Metropolitan Police were called to Rosebery Road, on Monday (September 4) afternoon at around 3.36pm to reports of a fight taking place between two groups.

By the time officers arrived, the groups had dispersed and the police found a 29-year-old suffering from a stab wound to his chest.

London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance attended, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 4.18pm, according to officers.

Confirming that a murder investigation was underway, a Met Police statement said: "His next of kin have been informed. Formal identification awaits.

"A post-mortem will be held in due course. "

Police have confirmed no one has been arrested and their enquiries continue with the investigation being led by Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price.
