Calling all Hounslow sports fans, you won't want to miss this offer!

Residents in the borough are being offered discounted tickets to soak up the action at the IPC World Para Athletics Championships this summer.

It is sure to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year, with world class athletes competing from across the world, for the prestigious title of World Champion.

The Championships take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, from July 14 until July 23, and if you call Hounslow your home, you are eligible for a discount.

IPC World Para Athletics Championships will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Usually priced at £45 for the most popular sessions, organisers are offering residents adult tickets for just £9, saving a massive £36, and child tickets for £3.

"We’re encouraging residents to take up this offer as it is a great opportunity to see a range of fantastic sports live" said Councillor Samia Chaudhary, cabinet member for green policy and leisure at Hounslow Council.

She added: "We are committed to providing as much as we can to ensure our residents can enjoy sport and active lifestyles.

"We hope that by watching these sportsmen and women in action live, it will encourage people to take up more sport - perhaps a new sport that they hadn’t thought of before – and as a result enjoy more activity and be part of a healthier community."

How can I claim the offer?

Hounslow residents should head to the para athletics website, entering the promo code, LON2017, at the checkout.
