The victim of a fatal stabbing in Hounslow has been named as local man Patrick Oyeri.

The 29-year-old died at the scene despite paramedics desperately trying to save his life, after a knife pierced his liver as a fight broke out on the streets.

Detectives continue to appeal for information following the murder in Rosebery Road on Monday September 4.

An inquest was opened and adjourned on Thursday (September 7) at West London Coroner's Court.

A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as a stab wound to the liver.

Police were called to reports of fight taking place between two groups at around 3.35pm.

Emergency services arrived to find the groups had dispersed but officers found Patrick suffering from a stab wound.

The London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance attended.

Sadly, paramedics treated Mr Oyeri at the scene but were unable to save him.

Time of death was recorded less than an hour later at 4.18pm.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) led by Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price is investigating.

There have still been no arrests made in connection with the murder and police enquiries continue.
