An eight-year-old boy was given the chance of a lifetime as he stepped out onto the pitch at Wembley Stadium alongside Chelsea captain Gary Cahill.

Dylan Nakarja from Hounslow experienced the moment he will remember for the rest of life as he walked out in front of more than 80,000 fans with the England ace.

Chosen as a McDonald's player escort, the young boy was given the chance at the start of The FA Community Shield match on Sunday (August 6).

The match saw Premier League winners Chelsea FC take on FA Cup holders Arsenal FC, with the Gunners lifting the trophy following a 4-1 win in a penalty shootout.

Dylan, who won the chance to be a Player Escort by winning a competition on the McDonald’s Better Play website, said: “It was amazing to walk on the Wembley pitch and there were so many fans in the seats cheering us.

"All of my friends at home were really jealous of me and I’m happy we got to see some goals in the match.”

Sir Geoff Hurst, McDonald’s Director of Football added: “Walking out at Wembley in front of over 80,000 fans is an amazing experience

"It’s something that I have been lucky enough to do in my career so I know exactly what it feels like to hear the crowd cheering you on.

"The current Arsenal and Chelsea players are inspirational to so many children up and down the country and I’m sure Dylan will remember this day for a long time.”
