The incident comes after a recent spate in moped crime in the capital

This shocking CCTV footage shows the moment a woman is dragged to the floor during a robbery by moped drivers.

A man wearing a helmet is seen slamming the woman to the floor, wrestling with her, before stealing a gold necklace.

It follows a series of moped-related crimes in London, which includes drivers snatching phones out of people's hands and an incident of liquid being thrown in a pedestrian's face.

The Metropolitan Police has released this latest footage after it was called at 4.40pm on Tuesday June 20 to Clarenden Rise in Lewisham.

The force said a 52-year-old woman was approached outside a Hindu temple by a man wearing a crash helmet.

The suspect grabbed the victims £600 gold necklace and tried to remove it from her neck.

The first suspect was described as wearing a black crash helmet, white shirt, a dark blue jacket with grey trousers and black shoes while the second suspect was wearing a black crash helmet, blue shoes and a grey tracksuit with white stripes.
