Firefighters tackled a house fire in the affluent Kensington and Chelsea district, Holland Park.

A terraced townhouse in Holland Park Avenue burst into flames on Friday (September 8) evening.

A spokesman for London Fire Brigade confirmed they were called at 8.04pm.

Twitter user Santos posted a picture of the building showing flames at multiple windows of the property.

Holland Park Avenue was closed off whilst emergency services were in attendance, and bus routes 31, 94, 148 and 228, in both directions, were placed on divert.
