Londoners should keep their umbrellas and rain coats at the ready as April showers are predicted to hit the city.
Met Office meteorologists have said rain in the far west will spread slowly northeast to all parts by late afternoon, with temperatures dropping to as low as six degrees celsius as wind speeds pick up.
Tuesday should see brighter spells, but those are forecast alongside bouts of rain, with heavy showers continuing to fall throughout the day.
However, temperatures are set to be warmer when clouds clear and the outlook for the rest of the week is a mixture of both milder weather and showers.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "There will be a mixture of sunshine and showers through to Friday, these locally heavy.
"But feeling rather warm at times in mainly light winds."
