We know there's a bit of tension in the air between traditional black cab drivers and Uber drivers - but one cabbie has stepped things up a notch.

Twitter user "M25 Dave" spotted the number plate at Heathrow Airport on Sunday evening (February 19) and had to take a picture of the less than subtle message, reports Get Surrey .

It seems this particular black cab driver chose to buy a personalised number plate to make his feelings about the private cab company clear.

If you hadn't already guessed, he "H8 UBR".

There has been plenty of drama between Uber drivers and taxi drivers in the capital.

In 2014, there was a mass protest in Trafalgar Square which involved 12,000 drivers angry over what they regarded as a lack of regulation.

So what is your view on the black cabbie's number plate? Do you think it is necessary and should there be such animosity between the Uber drivers and taxi firms? Let us know in the comments section below.
