Pupils and their parents participated in a school's first health fair with the presence of vital local organisations.

Perivale Primary School, in Greenford, hosted the fair on June 3 with the theme of 'health and wellbeing', a focus on eating well and exercising.

The aim was to increase awareness and provide parents with practical tips, and to have the opportunity to sign up to local sporting clubs and exercise programmes.

Stalls on the day included 'I know why it's Yum Mum' free food tasting, Harrisons: the school's meals provider who gave free tasters of some of their recipes, Active Ealing, public health service, the school nurse and Sports Ealing.

There were also games in the playground and healthy snacks available.
