A teenage girl was hospitalised after a street fight in Hayes left her suffering stab injuries.

The injured teen, believed to be aged 17, was rushed to a major trauma centre after emergency services were called on Wednesday night (July 5).

London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called at 9.10pm to reports of a stabbing in Uxbridge Road.

An LAS spokesperson said: "We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene.

"London's Air Ambulance were also dispatched by car.

"We treated a teenage girl at the scene and took her as a priority to major trauma centre."

Metropolitan Police said it was alerted to a "fight in progress" in the vicinity of Uxbridge Road, near the junction with Warley Road in Hayes.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers, London Ambulance and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene and found a female, believed aged 17, suffering stab injuries.

"She was taken to a central London hospital for treatment.

"Her injuries are not life threatening."

There were no reports of any other injuries during the fight.

Officers from Hillingdon borough are investigating and have not yet made any arrests.
