A neighbour recalled hearing "screaming" before seeing a man taken into an ambulance after a double daylight stabbing in Hayes .

One male teenager remains in a serious condition in hospital after being involved in a brawl on Hobart Lane, Yeading , on Tuesday (August 22) afternoon.

The following day, shattered glass, and police constables carrying out reassurance patrols could be seen on the housing estate.

A nearby resident, who did not wish to be named, said: "There was screaming in there and then there was a lot of police but they wouldn't let you go in there.

"My small grandchildren were scared. One guy was taken in the ambulance. It was really bad.

"It's happening quite a lot now, it's getting really bad around here.

"I watch all these houses around here, we know this street.

"Kids these days are always swearing, using bad language, even to their mothers, no one can tell them these days.

"We were always taught to respect human beings, this knifing business and stabbing someone, I don't know why it's happening.

"It used to be a very good area... I'm really sorry this happened but what can you do? The police can't even control them."

A getwestlondon reader also spoke of how the area has changed for the worse.

They wrote: "I lived in Hobart Lane twenty plus years ago and the whole estate was full of children, playing football, run-outs and having a laugh.

"We had kids from another estate wanting to start trouble, but the estate all got on, even those in their twenties - how things have changed."

Police constables carried out reassurance patrols and gave out leaflets

The Metropolitan Police described a second victim suffering from stab wounds as being in a non life threatening condition.

A third teen suffered minor injuries after being in collision with a car.

The Met Police said they were called at 5.50pm to Hobart Lane where police responded to a large fight.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Police found two males in their late teens suffering from stab injuries.

"A third male following a collision with a car was taken to hospital.

"One male still in hospital in serious condition.

"One stabbing victim described as being not life threatening.

"A third victim with minor injuries."

Hillingdon Police are investigating as enquiries continue.
