Harrow's Northolt Road takeaways - just how clean are they?

After mouse poo was found in one Harrow takeaway, we take a look at how clean other food outlets are in the same road

The owner of a Northolt Road takeaway in Harrow was fined and banned from running their business after a damning food hygiene report.

Rotting vegetables and mice poo were among the worst offending qualities of fried chicken shop, Mama's Kitchen.

In fact, it was so filthy and infested with vermin that even its food safety guide was found covered in dirt on the floor.

The owner, Kalpana Ashokumar was banned from running food businesses ever again.

The road is popular for takeaways and food outlets, so getwestlondon took a look how other businesses on the road fared in the hygiene rankings .

 

It turns out that they are mostly very clean.

None of the seven takeaways on the road were rated two or below by the Food Standard Agency (FSA).

One takeaway is currently awaiting inspection.

Chicken Hut Fried Peri Peri was the takeaway with the lowest rating on Northolt Road, with a 3 rating, which translated to "generally satisfactory".

All ratings have been taken from the FSA website and were accurate at the time of writing on May 4, 2017.
