Police officers are working to identify the person who died after being struck by a train in Wealdstone .

British Transport Police are searching for the family of person who tragically died during an incident on Wednesday (October 25) afternoon.

It was announced that someone had died after they were struck by a train at Harrow and Wealdstone station .

Officers were called to the station shortly before 4.45pm and attended alongside paramedics.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.

"The person's death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

Police will not be revealing more details about the person, such as their age or gender, until the next of kin have been informed.

The tragic incident took place on the same evening that a woman in her 80s was believed to have been hit by a bus outside Harrow bus station at around 4pm.
