Harrow policing issues webchat: Put your questions to borough commander for live Q&A

Crime and policing has been a hot topic in Harrow recently

Crime has been a hot topic in the London Borough of Harrow this year.

There was a wave of serious crime in the summer months, including four men being stabbed outside Harrow-on-the-Hill tube station , a week before a huge fight broke out in Locket Road, Wealdstone , and a man was "recklessly shot" in the back later in the night on the same day.

Research by getwestlondon revealed there are more than 11 violent or sexual crimes reported EVERY DAY in the borough.

The spate of attacks has been compounded by fears that South Harrow station may be closed in the latest round of government cuts.

South Harrow itself saw a number of worrying incidents, including a stabbing near the exact same takeaways where a teenager was murdered a year ago.

Business owners in the area said they have been "crying out for help" to tackle "gang" violence affecting trade in the area.

In light of the issues - and prospect of future cuts - we're offering readers the chance to put their questions to Harrow's Borough Commander, Chief Superintendent Simon Ovens.

Whether you're worried about the closures of police buildings, or have a specific question about crimes in your area, you'll be able to have your questions answered on Friday (September 29).

Please email your questions to katherine.clementine@trinitymirror.com, leave a comment below, or comment on our Facebook pages so we can put them to the Borough Commander.
