A total of four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to the incident in Dryden Road.
The picture from the fire brigade shows one of its aerial platforms being used at the scene.
The London Fire Brigade said most of the roof of a mid-terraced two-storey house was damaged by the fire.
A spokesman for the LFB said: "A woman and four children left the property before the arrival of the brigade.
"The brigade was called at 6.36pm and the fire was under control at 7.42pm."
Crews from Stanmore, Harrow and Northolt fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, the spokesman said.
