The murder victim who was stabbed to death following an incident at a barber shop in Harlesden has been named.

The Metropolitan Police said the male has been formally identified as 34-year-old Crispin Siddon.

Officers investigating Mr Siddon's death believe he was injured at the Cutz Barbers Shop on Craven Park Road, and was trying to make his way to hospital.

Emergency services were called at 2.10pm on Friday (May 5) to reports of a man suffering from stab injuries near Central Middlesex Hospital.

A male was treated by paramedics but pronounced dead at the scene at 3.20pm.

A post-mortem examination has established cause of death as a stab wound.

Mr Siddon's family is being supported by family liaison officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner of the Homicide and Major Crime Command leading the investigation said: "Whilst our investigation is continuing we remain keen to hear from anybody who may have been in or around Cutz Barbers Shop at 2pm and who may have seen a dispute between two men."

* A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a north London police station.
