Firefighters have been called to a shop fire in Harlesden.

London Fire Brigade was called to a blaze in a shop with flats above in Park Parade, at 7.38am on Wednesday (April 5).

The fire is affecting a large part of the building's ground floor.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

LFB said the cause of the fire is not known at this stage.

Station manager, Jerome Kumedzina, said: “The fire affected a large part of the building’s ground floor, as well as part of the first floor and our crews worked incredibly hard to get it under control.

“We will remain at the scene for some time damping down any remaining hot spots. Park Parade is still cordoned off while we continue to deal with the incident so motorists should avoid the area.”
