A man from Hammersmith has denied possession of more than 300,000 pornographic images – some involving children and animals.
Terry Henderson was arrested after a police search of his home last year uncovered material which also included movies of adults having sex with animals.
A computer built by Henderson using second-hand hard drives was seized during the search and is thought to have stored on it 600 videos and 300,000 images.
Of these were nearly 20,000 category A pictures and videos – the most extreme kind – with 48 explicit movies involving children.
His stash also contained over 20,000 category B images and videos with the remaining quarter of a million pictures and movies pertaining to the least serious category C.
Henderson, from Yeldham Road, appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on Tuesday (December 1) wearing glasses, a white shirt, blue jumper, black trousers and black trainers. He spoke only to confirm his name and enter a plea.
The 45-year-old held his hand to his heart as he pleaded not guilty to 14 charges, mainly of making indecent photographs of a child, of categories A, B and C.
He was granted unconditional bail ahead of his trial, fixed for April 11 next year.
A pre-trial review will be held on March 29.
