Police are still treating the death of a man whose body was found in a front garden of a residential road in Hammersmith as unexplained.

However, they believe they know the identity of the man, who was in his 40s.

The discovery in Agate Road was made on Thursday (June 19) morning, with police called just before 7.30am.

Police told getwestlondon at the time that the death was "unexplained".

Officers from Hammersmith and Fulham were seen carrying out enquiries at the scene and in the surrounding area.

They tweeted from the local Met Police account at around 8.30am: “We are dealing with an incident on Agate Road in W6. Please follow the instructions of officers on scene.”

Scotland Yard said on Friday (June 30) morning that it is unsure if next of kin have been informed.
