Fitness enthusiasts were given the chance to trade Easter chocolate for a day pass at a Greenford gym in an 'Egg Amnesty'.

Staff at the Sudbury Hill branch of David Lloyd Leisure Club invited members to bring in their unhealthy chocolate eggs in exchange for a free day pass to the gym.

The surrendered confectionery is going to the club's nominated charity, Jack's Place, the children's ward at Northwick Park Hospital.

Club administrator Tracy Minson said they chose the charity because they "wanted to do something positive for the kids who are being treated at Jack's Place".

The club has already had 50-60 people take part in the scheme, which ends on April 11. They have delivered four bags of chocolate to the ward to the delight of the staff and children.

The staff will be collecting your easter eggs until April 11
