A colourful mural painted in tribute to Grenfell Tower victims has been painted over, much to the disgust of campaigners.
Around 1,000 people signed petitions in a bid to keep the colourful street art which contained a serious and heartfelt message.
An artist known as "Flex" had spent weeks crafting the "Justice" graffiti in Ladbroke Crescent, close to the charred remains of the tower block in Kensington .

Posting on Facebook on Wednesday August 30, Flexwon De Amorim-Gil wrote: "They whitewashed the "JUSTICE" for Grenfell mural!!!
"Over a thousand signatures on a petition to keep it didn't mean a thing to whoever did this."
Emma Daniels, who started one of the online petitions, had described the colourful street art as a "fitting tribute made by those who care for those that have lost everything".
Speaking after the shock of artwork being painted over, she said: "That space has been used for years by people in the community to express themselves."
"Flex spent weeks doing this and hadn't even finished it yet," she added.
"He had been adding the names of victims who had been identified and wanted to add Jessica, the 12-year-old girl who had died.
"I haven't been there since, I don't want to see it. But I will carry on fighting for this community."
Kensington and Chelsea council confirmed they do not own the building upon which the mural was painted.
A spokesperson for the council said: "The mural was removed by the owner of the building as it is private property.
"So the council is now working with local artists, specifically graffiti artists, to create permanent murals for Grenfell around the community.
"We also intend to work with schools and building owners to put something the community wants in that same space."
