A baby born stillborn after his parents fled the burning Grenfell Tower has been included as one of the victims of the fire.
Toxic fumes killed Logan Gomes two months before he was due to be delivered, while his parents escaped the inferno from the 21st floor.
Police have to date now identified 41 people who lost their lives in the disaster last month, which includes Logan, having previously said it expects “at least 80” to have died in total.
Marcio and Andreia Gomes escaped their high-rise home in Grenfell in the early hours of June 14 with their 10 and 12-year-old daughters, stepping over bodies and down the smoke-filled stairways.
Logan was delivered that same day as a stillborn as his mum laid unconscious in an induced coma.
He is thought to be the youngest victim of the tragedy.
Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph , Mr Gomes had previously said: “The doctors came and said the baby’s heart had stopped and the priority is the mother.
“My wife gave birth that night while she was in an induced coma, so she didn’t know at the time.
“At 11.03 in the evening my baby boy was born.
“I was holding him, he looked peaceful, like a baby that was just sleeping. I wanted to be there with him but he had already died.”
