The opening hearing of the Grenfell Tower public inquiry takes place on Thursday (September 14).

It is being led by chairman Sir Martin Moore-Bick , and was ordered by Prime Minister Theresa May following the devastating blaze which claimed the lives of at least 80 people.

The opening of the inquiry comes exactly three months since a fire tore through Grenfell , claiming the lives of at least 80 people.

10.30am.

What is expected to happen?

Chairman Sir Martin Moore-Bick will read his opening statement.

How long will the hearing last?

Around 45 minutes.

How can you follow it?

If you can’t attend in person, the hearing will be broadcast live on the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry website

It will be broadcast live at Notting Hill Methodist Church in Lancaster Road.
